I was planning to go to bakpia pathok25 shop, not this manufacture factory. but my grab driver recommended here cause this is better place than shop. and it was correct.
I haven't eaten bakpia pathok before, and I tried one for free. it was really nice traditional cookie. I loved all taste that they are selling, coffee, chocolate, flavor even durian, the king of fruits. I bought all since all are good.

I recommend here for traveler, it's better go to normal shop.

Very good bakpia pathok the premium somewhat worthwhile with the choices of chocolate, cheese, and durian. Because the filling is more thick, tasty , and gooey. While the cheap one are more dry.

It is a very crowded place and it's good to purchase Bakpia. Parking is an issue..

Come here if you want to get some local snacks to bring home from your travels (a very Indonesian custom to bring back "oleh-oleh" to those who stayed behind ????). They have some limited parking available. Prices are not cheap but better than on Malioboro road. If you are interested in getting some of their freshly made snacks, make sure to ask how long they stay fresh - some are only fresh for a few days.

An hour approximately in Mata Mata Museum and on our way back to the hotel, at the suggestion of the tour guide, we decided to check out Bakpia Pathok outlet. Bakpia? Yes, Indonesian hand made soft fluffy, crumbly pastry filled with green peas. Green peas filling obviously the most sellable compared to the rest like pineapple and what not I didn’t really take note in this outlet which was swarmed by dozens. As though “come one, come all” its free for all. I bought out of greedy eyes. But a wrong checkmate because when I returned home and I didn’t store the 2 boxes, they became rancid and? Into the bin.
