This is our second visit! Unfortunately the ticketing system has changed.we paid 40.000 for two, to find out that’s just an entry to the front only not close up to the actual temple. We still have to pay again to enter the temple. This is not fair seem no one say about anything at the entrance. If they explain up front, we would have choices and we are ok to pay at full price for whole visit. Being honest upfront is best policy, especially when it come to visit a tourism spot

A very interesting and cultural place. If you’d like to visit, I suggest you bring sunglasses or umbrella, because it can be very hot. There are several good spots for photo if you’re a traveller. The entrance ticket is also very affordable. If you like architectural photography, this place is a must visit!

Very good historical Klenteng u0026 Temple in Semarang

The place is big, the building is very majestic
Very clean.

You can pray (sembahyang) or you can Just visiting as tourist, taking photos, buy something, or eating

The parking space is spacious too

One of iconic Historical place in Semarang. Still an active prayer place. My friend said it's prettier to come at night, cause they turn all the lights on

Icon of Semarang city, full of cultural heritage buildings and monuments.
The parking lot is quite spacy.
The officers are friendly and welcome.
We can sit on the gazebo and hearing bell ringing softly by the wind.
So relaxing.
It is quite hot due to limited big trees on the field though.

Religious combined with historical landmark

Divided into 2 parts, the outer ones where we can see the temples from the outside (visitors can't go in anyway unless you are going yo pray), rent kids car or bike and buy some food.

The inner ones, is where the temples located.
Those who wish to pray can go into the temples

Behind the main temple, there is a relief explaining Cheng He's journey from China to the east.

One of main tourist attractions in Semarang City. Good spots to take pictures. Buildings are well-preserved. Very hot in the morning and afternoons though. Bring hats/umbrellas.
