@day time and work hour, the main road around the Yard is not too crowded, but when rush hour.. hmm

The Lapangan alone is empty at day, due to Hot weather.. unless someone is having an exercise or walk through it..

@night..
There are a lot of culinary sites surrounding the Lapangan, you can enjoy various food.. in a bit higher price than in other local restaurant..

But you have the ambience of Lapangan in Night life, full of lights..

Kawasan yang hampir selalu ramai, apalagi kalau malam hari. Tourist and mostly locals often go to this area, either buat cuci mata (melihat-lihat) atau sekadar mencicipi makanan khas Semarang di area pusat jajanannya (hawker center). Food taste is okay, but not that great. As a tourist, I would likely recommend this place for one to two times only, and better try other food street vendors or cafes that are available in Semarang.

It’s happening place in this area. Food stalls everywhere, amazing Indonesian cuisine from seafood, noodles, all the way to sweet treat. FYI just don’t stop at one stall but explore first then decide. One thing that I dislike about this place people smoking everywhere. So if you’re in this part of the city stop by and check it out.

Actually, it was nice to spend leisure time in Simpang Lima. Even though it has been refurbished into a beautiful and well-arranged park, but sometimes I miss the time when a lot of people can spend their lively night in Simpang Lima with their family, just sitting on the grass with ordering local foods or snacks such as peanuts, cola, roasted corn on the cub. Well, it's truly a development for Semarang since it is the icon of the city. Now, there are attractive bike rentals with various unique designs circling around the park. The park is now clean, pretty, and attractive with its own way.

Beautiful place to walk in the evening, there are colorful lights in the trees. You can rent a becak or a bicycle with colorful lamps on them. This place is really great for taking beautiful photos. There are a lot of restaurants near the place, you can find a lot of food here. But I think you should come here by public transportation or just walking, because it's hard to find a parking space.

nice common public area in city of Semarang. Many people hanging around on this place more likely in the night. So many merchant seller here in the night. You can enjoy by sitting on the grass and watching city night view

Popular place that offers one stop traditional dining. Dozens food stalls with various menu are organized surrounding Simpang Lima. It's attractive for strolling around in the night. But it needs improvement especially for road crossing facility because lack of crossing bridge meanwhile the traffic is always crowded.
