For those who want to buy bandeng, I reccomend you to go here. It's not as crowded as the one at Pandanaran. It's also complete with other gift you can buy for your friends and family at home ????

Complete collection of food souvenir/gifts from semarang. In peak season, it's very crowded you could barely walk. Its not air conditioned, so fairly hot. Sadly, the main reason it's crowded is people lining up for either bandeng or lumpia which spoils fast. And they haven't figured out a solution for this. Making unnecessary crowd. But the price and the options are fair.

You won't have enough time to browse here. They are packed with "oleh-oleh", Javanese specific. Always bring big cash and a truck to shop here. Kiddin'....

You can buy many gifts and souvenir here but mostly food gifts. The favorites are bandeng juwana, a traditional Semarang cuisine made of milkfish but was pressurized and half cooked (ikan bandeng presto), so don't worry for any fish thorn. You can get it starting from IDR135,000 per kilogram and prices are various based on the type of how milkfish are processed.
Another of my favorite is Tahu Bakso and Lumpia, don't forget it when you came and visited Semarang bought it as your souvenirs.
If you want some sweet you can choose any traditional sweets like gethuk, wingko, and many more.
In the shop, they keep the good health protocol so it will make your shopping activities safe and sound.

Bandeng (milk fish) prosesed, so it's more easy to eat bandeng.
It's easy to shop here due more parking lots.
