Honestly the view and the backyard cafe is wonderful. Especially for family gathering.
But the hotel management and other facilities don’t seem wonderful as the view. Too old room facilities with no upgrades. The water heater on the shower doesn’t really work. And this hotel’s located in a pretty cool area. Kind of crucial thing for some people. Especially local guests.

Very nice hotel, i am very impressed with staffs service while i got here. Have a really good time at the hotel. Highly recommended!
Will come back at next opportunity for sure!

This hotel used to be called as Grand Trawas. Room is nice. 24 hours room service, ordered Chicken Cordon Bleu with Rattatouile; it's tasty. Hotel has a great view of Mt. Penanggungan and a pool.

Hotel has outdoor stalls sell indonesian foods such as Rujak Cingur, Tahu Campur, Bakso, and many more. Taste good and reasonable price. Also has cafe called Jungle Cafe, faced directly into Mt. Penanggungan.

We stayed for one night. We got room faces the mountain. Unfortunately there is Jungle cafe in front of our room. We have been informed before about this but somehow we felt uncomfortable. It’s too loudly. During weekend is too crowded. Grand Whiz has to improve about the breakfast menu. We did not enjoy the breakfast at all.

This review is dedicated to the restaurant of the Grand Whiz Hotel Trawas. The staff is so friendly. The price is reasonable for the hotel restaurant rate. I ordered wedang jahe and chicken gordon bleu. Especially for the chicken gordon bleu has big portion and the taste is right. For wedang jahe is using the real ginger. It serves with both white or brown sugar option and we can either add it or not. The place is quite comfortable to do some work and even zoom meeting. But, the wifi is kinda hard to access in the first time but after that it is stable. It has 4 table that each of that can afford 3 people and 3 big table can afford up to 3 people but with sofa option.

Very sorry to say but it's a far cry from when it was the Grand Trawas. Wanted a dessert on the menu just to find they didn't have any. Only normal gorengan was available. I mean seriously for the prices charged it's a joke. Had coffee and it was mediocre at best. The toilets were definitely not serviced regularly. Seems that the coffee shop opened just after the hotel was better attended. Apart from the amazing views it's not worth it.
