Bayangan Hill

Bayangan hill is a good camping ground. It is wide enough for many visitors, but i dont know actually how heavy the ground is on high season. The view is exactly great. I could see the clear sky with much much stars all over it at night. And the sunrise view is also quite good even though we couldnt see the place where the sun rise for first directly. The bad new is, there is still some litters around.

Mount Penanggungan high mountain peak around 1600 MDPL. Can be completed in overnight and can also do not need to stay. The climb from the licensing post to the top of the shadow takes approximately 2 hours. At the peak of the shadow we can set up a tent while resting. From the peak of the shadow to the peak of Mount Penanggungan approximately 1 hour with a very sharp track and slippery. The view when the morning is very nice because it can see the summit of Mount Welirang, Arjuno, and Mount Semeru. It is suitable for novice climbers because it is not too far on foot. Best Morning View!

Puncak bayangan, is a near "flat surface", people call it as a "bonus track" because almost no incline track.. you have to pass "4 checkpoint" to come here

This is not the end .. Still need almost an hour to the top mountain.. But from this place we already can see the beautiful view of arjuna mountain. Many people also camping here.. Usually they come at the midnight to see sunrise and going to the top in the early morning

If you're planning a hike up Bayangan Hill -- this is the place to stock up on last minute supplies or grab a delicious dish of noodles when you return back down.

Ok, so maybe I'm a bit biased because the owner is a personal friend of mine. But, I promise you, the entire family at this lovely Warung will help you out!

And, I recommend asking for Ali, he's an incredible climber/guide that can add that extra hint of AWESOME to your hiking experience.

Good place for camp before you go to the top of penanggungan mountain! We spent a nite here and it was an amazing place ????

Never in this world would be as amazing as i woke up to this incredible view of Arjuno-Welirang.
